Capri

Where to Stay:

  • JK Place - the most beautiful luxurious hotel -in my opinion. It is a bit small though so it books up fast. The staff call you by your name - it has a nice intimate vibe with gorgeous views and a nice pool.

  • Capri Palace - gorgeous hotel in Anacapri - on top of a hill so amazing views- some rooms even have their own pool.

  • Grand Hotel Quisisana - old school hotel in town across from Chanel :) great location but rooms are dated.

  • Punta Tragara - some of the best views on the island

Where to go to Lunch:

  • La Fontelina - the most iconic place - the blue and white umbrellas - my fave lunch place - delish food & red, white or rose sangria with lots of fresh fruit! Sit out on the rocks and go for a dip in the perfect water.

  • Il Riccio- my 2nd favorite lunch place - all blue, usually designer brands have a popup, very chic and pretty & they have an insane dessert room!

  • Lo Scoglio da Tommaso -take a boat here and enjoy some yummy seafood pasta.

  • Conca del Songo - come for a famous sgroppino (champagne, lemon sorbet & vodka - they can also do tequila) - super refreshing. also, very fresh seafood.

Where to go to Dinner:

  • Da Paolino- the famous lemon tree restaurant with lemon infused dishes - they also have a massive dessert room!

  • Aurora - one of my favorite pizza places, great pastas and amazing wine list - prob my fave dinner place.

  • Villa Verde- delish pizza, fun vibe.

  • Da Giorgio - great views, nice date night

  • Buonocore Gelateria - best gelato in town. There will be a line but it is worth it- you must get your gelato in a homemade cone!

Where to go Play:

  • Anema e Core - so much fun, the local nightclub thats inclusive - you will see celebrities to local grandmas - they hand out tambourines its great.

  • JK Place Lounge Bar - go for aperitivo - great sunset views & delish cocktails.

What to wear- Women:

  • For daytime its all about a bathing suit and coverup or a cute skirt and top set. Think Pucci/ Missoni vibe or some pretty blue or white looks. Capri is hilly so opt for flat sandals with a sturdy sole. Bring a fun beach tote. The vibe is beachy glam.

  • For night wear chunkier heels, wedges or flats with a sturdy sole because its hilly and a lot of walking as taxis can’t go deep into town. Think beach town glam - bright colors, Dolce prints, statement jewelry.

  • See my shopping suggestions here

What to wear- Men:

  • For daytime its a bathing suit and t-shirt or linen shirt with a nice sandal or Loro Piana Summer Walks.

  • For night I love nice linen pants or shorts with a linen top. Other options are khaki or white pants with a polo shirt and Loro Piana Summer Walks ( which is basically my euro summer uniform for men ;)

Getting there:

  • You can fly direct into Naples and take the ferry or private boat.

  • You can also come via boat from several other Amalfi coast cities - Naples is just most direct.

Good to note:

  • No ubers - cute open air taxis

  • Capri is a great place for couples or even to bring your kids! Not the best singles scene but I have gone single & still had fun!
