Porto Cervo, Sardinia

Where to Stay:

  • Cervo Hotel - My top pick - great location in town- sister hotel to the famous Cala di Volpe but a fraction of the price - pro tip get Cala di Volpe beach and pool access for 150 EUR per person/ per day.

  • Cala di Volpe - The most iconic hotel in Porto Cervo. The best bellinis in the world :) A must visit! The rooms are nice if you choose to stay there but not worth the cost IMO.

Where to go to Lunch:

  • Matsuhisa Beach - Famous Nobu restaurant

  • Nikki Beach Costa Smeralda - A fun ocean front beach club and restaurant. Menu gears Asian fusion. Creative cocktails and later in the day party vibe with a DJ.

  • Cala di Volpe Barbeque - Expansive lunch buffet and wood fired pizzas. There is also a cute juice bar next to it. It is right off the pool at Cala di Volpe.

  • Cala Portese - Take a boat here for fresh seafood and a fun beach party vibe. Similar to Juan y Andrea in Formentera.

Where to go to Dinner:

  • Quattro Passi al Pescatore - My fave restaurant in town by the water, definitely not to be missed. Fresh seafood, amazing pasta and good wine list in a romantic and fun setting.

  • Beefbar - A global brand - Beefbar has great meat options as well as an extensive menu with non meat options.

  • Matsuhisa - Famous Nobu restaurant serving delicious Japanese in a pretty setting at Cala di Volpe.

  • Crazy Pizza - Delish pizza place by the marina, they spin the pizzas, have a DJ and make it a fun and yummy dinner. If you want a good pizza fix while in Italy this is a must!

  • Zuma - Another global brand- Zuma has great Japanese fusion options. The restaurant is on a hill near town with gorgeous views and a lively vibe with a nightly DJ.

  • Novikov - Asian fusion in a cute open air setting in the center of town.

  • Le Grand - Romantic and iconic restaurant serving Mediterranean food at Cala di Volpe.

  • Pedri - Romantic garden restaurant in town.

Where to go Play:

  • Phi Beach - A must visit for the best sunset views. Right on the water - the restaurant / lounge is set on the rocks. Plan to arrive at 7:30pm/8pm to get settled before the 8:45pm sunset- definitely try to get a table close to the water with unobstructed views - book in advance.

  • Ritual - Iconic and cool club in a castle setting built into rocks. Fun night out!

  • Billionaire - A fun supper club & club with a cool show. Iconic place. It opens later in July.

  • Nikki Beach Porto Cervo - My favorite Nikki beach location as it is right on the marina in an open air setting with a chill vibe. Great cocktails and people watching.

What to wear- Women:

  • For daytime its a “yacht chic” vibe or a bathing suit/ coverup. Think Pucci/ Missoni, pretty clean whites or a Loro Piana vibe.

  • For night think beach town glam - glam looks, bright colors, Dolce or Pucci prints, statement jewelry.

  • See my shopping suggestions here

What to wear- Men:

  • For daytime its a bathing suit and t-shirt or linen shirt with a nice sandal or Loro Piana Summer Walks.

  • For night I love nice linen pants or shorts with a linen top. Other options are khaki or white pants with a polo shirt and Loro Piana Summer Walks ( which is basically my euro summer uniform for men ;)

Getting there:

  • You can fly direct into Olbia and Porto Cervo is about 40 min away by car. No direct flights frpm NYC so you will need to connect in a European city.

Good to note:

  • No ubers - easy to get taxis in town. Around 40 EUR to go from town to Cala or Nikki Beach.

  • Porto Cervo is great for couples or families! It is a top destination for mega yachts so enjoy checking them out. Definitely charter a boat for a day- the water is gorgeous!
