Mykonos

Where to Stay:

Where to go to Lunch:

  • Spilia - fresh octopus, gorgeous views. It can turn into a party later in the day but plan to go for a nice lunch more than a party (image above).

  • Principote - you could spend the entire day here- come early to get chairs by the beach, then move to a table for lunch which then turns into a party.

  • Scorpios - known for their Sunday night party, Scorpios is still a beautiful place to go to lunch with delicious food. It is affiliated with Soho House.

  • Nammos - iconic lunch / party place. They also have Nammos Village next door which is filled with designer shops- not to be missed ;)

  • Alemagou - come here for sunset party & good music. Its the after party to your day party.

  • Kastros- come here for a romantic, more chill sunset in town.

Where to go to Dinner:

  • Katrin - old school & super cute restaurant in town, its like dining at your Greek grandmothers house

  • Remezzo - open air classic restaurant in town

  • Interni - trendy, party restaurant in town with good Greek food

  • Sea Satin - iconic restaurant near the rocks by the water in town, turns into a party, not to be missed

  • M-eating - cozy restaurant in town, good for a chill dinner

  • Beefbar - the Beefbar brand has locations in all of the “hot” cities & the Mykonos location doesn’t disappoint.

  • LPM - one of my fave South of France, London & Miami restaurants opened in Myk this summer! Yummy French/ Med and usually chic crowd.

Where to go Play:

  • Scorpios - on a Sunday for sure. Just be prepared that everyone else will have the same idea so plan ahead and book a table.

  • Bonbonniere - trendy nightclub in town

  • Astra - lounge in town

  • 180 Sunset Bar - the name says it all, go for sunset.

What to wear- Women:

  • For daytime its all about a bathing suit and coverup or a cute skirt and top set. Think fun pops of color or go for a more bohemian vibe. Mykonos is hilly and rocky so opt for flat sandals with a sturdy sole. Bring a fun beach tote.

  • For night wear chunkier heels or wedges or flats with a sturdy sole because its very hilly and rocky. Most dinner places won’t allow a car to drop you in front so you will have to walk a little bit so be prepared. Think fun colors, flowy dresses- a sexy beachy vibe.

  • See my shopping suggestions here

What to wear- Men:

  • For daytime its a bathing suit and t-shirt or linen shirt with a nice sandal or Loro Piana Summer Walks.

  • For night I love nice linen pants or shorts with a linen top. Other options are khaki or white pants with a polo shirt and Loro Piana Summer Walks ( which is basically my euro summer uniform for men ;)

Getting there/ getting around:

  • Many European airports fly direct into JMK airport. If you are coming from the states you might have to stop over somewhere. I always suggest Paris, Rome or Milan as my preferred connection city and / or 1 night stop over city!

  • There aren’t any ubers so connect with a taxi driver or 2 and get their numbers and whats app them directly to take you around when needed. I don’t suggest renting a car or ATV as the roads are narrow, windy and hilly.

Good to note:

  • Mykonos is a fun place to go party. It is better with a group of 6-10. Not a good couples trip.

  • Lunches are at 1pm for early seating and 3pm for the later/ party seating.

  • Dinners are at 9pm for early seating and 10:30pm/11pm for the later/party seating.

  • Definitely charter a boat for the day! The water is amazing.
